Seawolves, Black Sheep End in Deadlock After Double OT

South Portland - This afternoon the Lady Seawolves matched up against the Lady Black Sheep of Hampshire College in YSCC soccer action. After 110 minutes of play in warmer than average temperatures both teams were exhausted and scoreless, ending the contest in a 0-0 tie. 

The Seawolves seemed to have an offensive advantage, getting off 37 shots in comparison to only nine by Hampshire but Black Sheep goalie duo Grace Desmarais and Lea Sweeney combined for 18 saves in an effort to keep the Seawolves off the scoreboard. Seawolves' forward Katy Cyr (Chicopee, MA) got off a game high 12 shots while teammates Danielle McCusker (South Portland, ME), Tori Cormier (Lebanon, ME) and Taylor Clapp (Richmond, ME) took five shots apiece.

With this win the Lady Seawolves are sporting an overall record of 1-1-1 and are 1-0-1 in YSCC conference action. The Seawolves will now enjoy a short break, returning to the field next weekend, September 13th, at home against the University of Maine - Machias at 1pm.
