He attended Castleton University where he played baseball for one year before transferring to the University of Southern Maine to finish his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management.

Wright served as a varsity assistant coach for his alma mater Springfield High School in 2014 and again in 2018. He managed at the Babe Ruth level for four seasons (2012-16) and helped build a new legion baseball program in Ludlow, Vermont which he most recently managed from 2016-18.

This summer, Wright will be working for the Upper Valley Nighthawks of the NECBL in Scouting and Baseball Operations.

Jeff Bozek

A Massachusetts native, Bozek graduated from Plymouth North High School in 1996 as a member of both the baseball and football programs—serving as baseball captain his senior season.

Bozek graduated from Wheaton College in 2000 with his degree in economics and played two full seasons under long-time baseball coach Eric Podbelski. Following his collegiate career, Bozek played as a catcher and later a coach for the Wrentham Red Sox in the Cranberry League in Massachusetts.

At SMCC, Bozek will be responsible for the development of catchers.

He currently lives with his wife and three daughters in Scarborough and works as a merchandise planner for Olympia Sports.

Wright and Bozek will join Head Coach David Walsh in his first season at the helm of the SeaWolves baseball program. Walsh comments, “I’m thrilled to have Coach Wright and Coach Bozek on staff this spring. Their enthusiasm for the game is contagious. Both have a unique knowledge base to help our guys develop as a student-athlete.”
