South Portland - Lady Seawolves forward Nyalieb Deng (Portland, ME) was named Yankee Small College Conference Player of the Week for the week of December 2, 2013.
The Lady Seawolves went 1-0 last week, defeating University of Maine - Augusta, thanks to Deng's efforts. She recorded a double double in the contest, her third of the 2013-14 season, dropping in 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Deng shot an impressive 46.6% from the field and chipped in four steals to lift the Seawolves over the Lady Moose by a score of 89-60.
