September 22, 2024CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine— In an exciting finish at Purpoodock Golf Club, the Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men’s golf team emerged victorious in their first home tournament of the year, clinching the title with a total score of 237. The Seawolves edged out the University of Maine at Farmington by 10 strokes— the Seawolves’ second team finished in third, giving SMCC two of the top three team finishes.

Men’s Golf places fifth at Husson Invitational
September 08, 2024BANGOR, Maine— The men’s golf team bounced back from their tournament yesterday and posted a team score of 309 overall. Sophomore Owen Lee (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) led the way with a 73, tying for 10th individually. Quinn Dillon (Gorham, Maine) also played a crucial role with 74, tying him for the 12th position. Contributions from Matt Quigley (Benton, Maine) and Lucas Inman (South Portland, Maine), who posted scores of 79 and 81 respectively, helped secure the team’s fifth place finish. Sophomore Asa Buteau (Scarborough, Maine) rounded out the team close in tow with an 82.
