SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— First-years Emily Hogan (Jay, Maine) and Dennis Cummins (Abington, Mass.) were named SeaWolves of the Week on Monday, Feb. 6.
Hogan, of the women’s basketball team, averaged 9.5 points per game spanning a two-game home slate last week in which her team defeated New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) and Unity College, both Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponents. Hogan’s most impressive showing was in her team’s rout of Unity when she totaled a career-high 17 points, shooting six of 15 from the field over 23 minutes of action in the game on Thursday, Feb. 2.

Cummins, of the men’s basketball team, averaged five points coming off the bench for the SeaWolves over the same two-game span. The 6’2’’ guard poured in 10 points in just 14 minutes of work in his team’s win over Unity, making an efficient 4-6 from the floor and pulling down five rebounds.
