Seawolves Defeat UMA, DeRosby Gets Triple-Double

South Portland - Seawolves' point guard Jordan DeRosby (Waterville, ME) had the game of his career last night chalking up a triple-double against the Moose of UMA. The SM junior scored 12 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out 11 assists to lead the Seawolves to a 101-76 conference victory.

The Seawolves shot an impressive 50% from the field in the first half, connecting on 18 of their 36 attempts, and were led by forward Dylan Silvestri (Pelham, NH) who hit 4-5 from the floor and scored 8 points. SMCC also netted 3-9 from downtown, which included two makes by shooting guard Ville Wuorenjuuri (Helsinki, Finland). Despite the Seawolves impressive offensive performance they only held a nine point cushion at the intermission, 47-38. UMA was able to stay in the game thanks to a double-double in the first half from forward Brandon Rogers who had 10 points and 10 rebounds. 

The Seawolves were able to keep their hot shooting streak alive in the second half, this time connecting on 8-16 attempts from beyond the arc and shooting 51% from the field. The Seawolves were also able to out rebound the Moose 30-13 and held Rogers to just six points and four boards. DeRosby and Grayson Waterman (Berwick, ME) led the charge in the second half. DeRosby scored six points, dished out six assists and grabbed 10 rebounds while Waterman dropped 14 to carry the Seawolves to the 101-76 triumph.

Waterman ended with a game high 21 points and five assists and Silvestri netted 12. 

Keith Chesley paced the Moose with 20 points and nine rebounds and Rogers ended with 16 points, 14 boards. Point guard Dallas Murray added 19 points and five assists.
