SMCC Denied By Midshipmen, Enters Break 9-6

NEWPORT, R.I.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team was defeated 70-56 by the Midshipmen of the Naval Academy Preparatory School in a non-conference game on Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Naval Station in Newport, R.I.

The SeaWolves now stand 8-6 all-time against the Midshipmen.

SMCC breaks for the semester on a three-game spell at 9-6 overall and 5-3 in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play. Navy Prep improves to 7-5 on the season.

The SeaWolves will pick it back up on Saturday, Jan. 6 when they host the Community College of Rhode Island in another non-conference game. Tip-off from the Hutchinson Union Building is scheduled for 3 p.m.
