SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team swept the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) regular season series with Paul Smith's College, defeating the Bobcats 82-62 on Saturday, Jan. 15.
The short-handed SeaWolves limited the opposition to 18 points less than their scoring average in a defensive effort that allowed the offense to settle in with methodical half-court sets. Sophomore captain Cameren Cousins (Wells, Maine) provided his usual double-double effort going for 15 points and 15 rebounds. Junior captain Ian Regan (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) put together an efficient day with 14 points on 6-8 from the floor and added eight rebounds.
