SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team swept the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) regular season series with Paul Smith's College, defeating the Bobcats 82-62 on Saturday, Jan. 15.

The short-handed SeaWolves limited the opposition to 18 points less than their scoring average in a defensive effort that allowed the offense to settle in with methodical half-court sets. Paul Smith's made a run to finish the first half down 38-31, but SMCC generated a high-percentage shot selection to outscore the Bobcats 44-31 in the second.

Sophomore captain Cameren Cousins (Wells, Maine) provided his usual double-double effort going for 15 points and 15 rebounds. Junior captain Ian Regan (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) put together an efficient day with 14 points on 6-8 from the floor and added eight rebounds.

Paul Smith's Anthony Henson led his team with 18 points on 5-12 from the field.

The SeaWolves extend their win streak to four and improve to 10-3 overall, 7-1 YSCC. The Bobcats slip to 3-10 on the season, 2-6 in league standings.

Next, the SeaWolves welcome Bryant and Stratton- Albany in non-conference play next Saturday, Jan. 22. Tip-off inside The HUB is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. **No spectators permitted.
