SeaWolves Golf Announces 2019 Match Dates

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf program will shoot a six-match schedule this fall led by Head Coach Chuck Ott in his second season at the helm.

The SeaWolves will tee off their season with back-to-back trips to Beaver Meadow Golf Club in Concord N.H. on Saturday, Sept. 7 and again on Saturday, Sept. 14—this a course the SeaWolves have scored well in the past.

SMCC will travel to Augusta Country Club (Maine) a week earlier this season on Saturday, Sept. 21 to shoot a track the program has regularly dominated, carding first place finishes in both 2016 and 2017. The SeaWolves will host its annual match at Purpoodock Golf Club (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) on Saturday, Sept. 28 in hopes to improve on a third place finish from a season ago.

SMCC welcomes league opponents to Purpoodock two weeks later on Sunday, Oct. 13 to make final adjustments before the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Championship round at Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, N.H. on Saturday, Oct. 19 hosted by Great Bay Community College—NHTI the reigning champion.

SMCC golfers will have the opportunity to qualify for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) two-day National Championship event scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6- Monday, Oct. 7 at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Penn.
