Golf Makes It Three In A Row, Wins At Springbrook Golf Club

LEEDS, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team turned in its third consecutive first place finish at Springbrook Golf Club, a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) match hosted by the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) on Saturday, Sept. 18.

The SeaWolves scored a team low 334, 17 strokes better than second place-finisher Great Bay Community College and 42 better than NHTI. York County Community College and the UMA were also in attendance but were disqualified from team scoring with too few participants.

GBCC's Wade Paquette medaled first in the individual circuit posting a 77. SMCC's Brian Perrault (Biddeford, Maine) fired an 80 for second, his second best score of the season; and teammate Zach Tremblay (Gilledgeville, Ga.) finished third recording an 82.

The SeaWolves return to action at their home track, Purpoodock Golf Club (Cape Elizabeth, Maine), on Sunday, September 26. Tee times begin at 12:00 p.m.
