Leupold Scores Low, Seawolves Finish Second

CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team fired a second-place finish at Purpoodock Golf Club on Sunday, Sept. 25.

Team Scores

  1. University of Maine at Farmington: 335
  2. Southern Maine Community College: 348
  3. Great Bay Community College: 349
  4. NHTI: 367
  5. Central Maine Community College: 379

Individual Scores

  1. Alex Leupold: 83
  2. Remy Levin: 86
  3. Zach Tremblay: 87
  4. Albert Doughty: 92
  5. Aubray Lincoln: 100

Following the round, Head Coach AJ Burton commented, "As always, Purpoodock does an outstanding job as hosts. Even though we didn't play to our full capabilities, there were positives that came out of the round. One being that Remy continues to improve her scores each time out, and Alex is always competing to be a top three finisher in the individual circuit. Overall, I was pleased with the results in our home match and looking forward to the opportunity at Purpoodock next Sunday to compete for another YSCC victory."

The action continues Sunday, Oct. 2 when the Seawolves host a conference match, again at Purpoodock. Tee times begin at 12:00 p.m.
