Seawolves Card 6th Place Finish, Burton Awarded COY At USCAA National Tournament

STATE COLLEGE, Penn.– The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team took home a sixth place finish at the 2022 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Tournament on Oct. 10-11.

The Seawolves finished with a two-day team score of 665, good for sixth place, and 61 strokes behind the tournament champion Johnson and Wales University- Charlotte. Coach Burton was named the second USCAA National Coach of the Year in SMCC history, and sophomore Darian Harmon (Hollis, Maine) earned USCAA Academic All-American status.

SMCC rounds out its season at the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Championships on Saturday, Oct. 15. Tee times are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at Pease Golf Course (Portsmouth, N.H.)
