
GAME ONE:
NEW LONDON, CONN. – Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) softball opened Thursday's non-conference doubleheader by blanking Mitchell College 1-0 behind a dominate pitching performance from Sarah Wilkins (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada), who struck out 15 batters in a complete game shutout.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Wilkins was dominant from the first pitch, scattering four hits while walking just two across seven scoreless innings. It marked her second consecutive double-digit strikeout game and improved her season record to 7-1.
The Seawolves broke through in the third inning when DeLanie Perry (DeLand, Florida) drove in the game's only run with a clutch two-out single. SMCC collected seven hits in the game, including a pair each from Wilkins and Emily Hutchins (Kennebunk, Maine).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SMCC's offense erupted in Game Two, collecting 17 hits en route to a 10-4 victory and the doubleheader sweep. Sloan Scotvold (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) got the win in the circle, tossing all seven innings without allowing an earned run.
Cameron Crerar (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) starred at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Taylor Swift (Keene, New Hampshire) added two hits and three RBIs, while Hutchins and Courtney Frohaug (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) each drove in two.
