WARWICK, R.I. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) softball team opened Friday's non-conference doubleheader against the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) with an 8-0 five-inning no-hitter, powered by a great performance in the circle by Sarah Wilkins (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Wilkins recorded five strikeouts, facing 19 batters in five hitless innings. Offensively, the Seawolves strung together 11 hits, including five doubles. Delanie Perry (DeLand, Florida) drove in three runs on two hits, while Courtney Frohaug(Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) added a 2-for-3 effort with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Sloan Scotvold(Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SMCC followed up with a 14-9 victory in Game Two, exploding for eight runs in the top of the first inning and holding off a resilient CCRI offense.
Cameron Crerar (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) had a game, going 4-for-4 with a double, three RBIs, and two stolen bases. Perry added another three-hit effort with two more doubles and three RBIs. Olivia Hill (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) and Scotvold each tallied multiple hits.
