IN BRIEF:  Penn State Lehigh Valley advances to the semifinals of the USCAA Women's Division II Basketball National Championship with a hard fought victory over #6 Southern Maine Community College, 74-67.  USCAA 2nd Team All-American, Andrea Watkins, tallied a game-high 24 points to lead the Nittany Lions.

ON THE COURT: Despite being outrebounded by 12, 58-46, the Nittany Lions were able to force the Seawolves into take contested shots throughout the game as the Seawolves shot 32% from the field (28-87).  On the offensive end, the Nittany Lions continued to attack the rim and convert on their free throws as they held a 31-8 free throw attempt advantage over the Seawolves while making 19. In addition, the Nittany Lions were able to turn 27 Seawolf turnovers into 27 points.

Also leading the Nittany Lions to victory was Brenna Dosedlo with 19 points, 5 steals and Taylor Russell with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Jaimi Poland led the Seawolves with 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

NEXT UP: Penn State Lehigh Valley now moves on to face #2 Penn State Beaver on Friday, March 6th in the Main Arena of Penn State Fayette. Southern Maine Community College will play Berkeley College (NY) at 2:00pm on Friday, March 6thin the Maltho Arena.
