BRUNSWICK, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's golf team traveled to Brunswick Golf Club to play in part of the 14-team Polar Bear Shoot Out hosted by Bowdoin College, spanning Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15.
The conditions in Brunswick were great all weekend as first-year Charlotte Blanchard (Dedham, Maine) led the way for the Seawolves with scores of 87 and 82 placing her 51st overall. Sophomore Sydney Pergerson (South Berwick, Maine) contributed 97 and 91. Finally, sophomore Delaney Blake (Bowling Green, Ohio) carded a 96 and 108.
Williams College took home the hardware in Brunswick with a combined score of 3 under, 582 on the weekend - highlighted by a course record 67 by Natalie Cheong on Saturday.
The Seawolves will continue with a tournament this Saturday, Sept. 21 at Fairlawn Golf Course as part of the Central Maine Community College Invitational.
