KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine— In an exciting women's golf matchup, the Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Seawolves claimed their first tournament victory of the season, narrowly defeating the University of New England (UNE) at Cape Arundel Golf Club with a total score of 283 to 289.

The Seawolves' impressive team performance was led by individual rounds of 89 from Charlotte Blanchard (Dedham, Maine), 91 from Sydney Pergerson (South Berwick, Maine), and Delaney Blake (Bowling Green, Ohio) with a 103— showcasing their consistency across the board.

Blanchard also took home the low individual award, her second this year. Despite UNE putting up a strong challenge and coming within just six strokes of the lead, the Seawolves held on for the win.

This victory marks a strong end to the regular season for SMCC.
