Women’s Soccer routs VSU- Randolph 6-0

RANDOLPH, Vt. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer dueled against the Knights of Vermont State University at Randolph in a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) matchup on Sunday, Oct. 13. 

The Seawolves would defeat the Knights 6-0, securing their third conference win of the season. The captain duo of Jordyn Hulsey (South Portland, Maine) and Samantha Duffy (South Portland, Maine) would find the back of the net for the Seawolves.

Sophomores Jadyn Eastman (South Berwick, Maine) and Talia Bradbury (South Portland, Maine) both found their third goals of the season. Senior Ammelia Lunt (Gardiner, Maine) scored on a full volley off a delivery from Bradbury. Sophomore Isabella Tanis (Brewer, Maine) would increase her goal count to five on the season when she landed a shot off an assist from Lunt. 

SMCC combined for 18 shots in the contest, 10 finding the frame. The Knights would accumulate just two shots, both off target.

The result improves the Seawolves to 6-3-2 on the season, 3-2-1 in conference play. 

SMCC will play its final regular season game against the Mustangs from Central Maine Community College on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Kickoff at Wainwright Sports Complex is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
