Title: Associate Head Women's Soccer Coach

Nicole Guimond (formerly Faircloth) will begin her sixth season as Assistant Coach of the women's soccer program. Guimond is a defensive specialist who has consistently coached the SMCC defensive unit to a nationally-ranked goals-against-average. 

A native of Westfield, Mass., Guimond graduated from the University of New England (Biddeford, Maine) in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Now on the sidelines, Guimond played four years at UNE as a defensive center midfielder and center back. Guimond made Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) postseason appearances all four years and was named a two-time CCC All-Conference selection. As a senior captain, Guimond was honored with the Female Senior Leadership Award for her involvement as president of UNE’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Prior to UNE, Guimond attended Westfield High School where she was a four-year member of the varsity soccer program, captain, and Student Council president. She also has experience at the club level, playing premier for the Junior Pioneers of western Massachusetts.

Guimond works as an oncology nurse at Maine Medical Center and resdies in Portland with her husband Derek Guimond.
