
GAME ONE:
AUBURN, MAINE – Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball dropped game one of Tuesday's doubleheader, falling 2-1 to Central Maine Community College (CMCC).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
SMCC grabbed an early lead in the third inning when Adam Rowland (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada) singled home Dante Tocci (Portland, Maine), who had drawn a leadoff walk. The Seawolves scattered eight hits throughout the game, but couldn't add to their run total, stranding six baserunners.
Leudys Castillo (Estero, Florida) was solid on the mound, striking out six over 6.1 innings while allowing just five hits. The game was tied heading into the bottom of the seventh when CMCC loaded the bases and ended it with a walk-off HBP.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Seawolves bounced back in a big way in game two, combining for a no-hitter in a 6-1 victory over CMCC. Connor Boulette (Westbrook, Maine) and Rowland teamed up for the first combined no-hitter of the season, striking out four and walking five while holding CMCC hitless.
SMCC struck early with a three-run first inning and added insurance in the fourth and seventh. Zach Oliver (Gloucester, Massachusetts) drove in two runs with a sac fly and fielder's choice, while Alex Bean (Westbrook, Maine) and Alex Bartlett (Thomaston, Maine) chipped in with RBIs of their own.
