
GAME ONE – SEMIFINAL vs. CMCC:
OLD ORCHARD BEACH, MAINE – Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball opened Thursday's YSCC postseason with a 5-2 loss to Central Maine Community College (CMCC) in the semifinal round at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Max Noto (Wentzville, Missouri) was solid on the mound, allowing just two earned runs through 5.1 innings of work, but early defensive miscues led to a pair of unearned runs in the second that put SMCC in a hole.
The Seawolves cut the deficit in the sixth with RBI hits from Tyler Herkalo (Parkton, Maryland) and Alex Bean(Westbrook, Maine), but were unable to mount a full comeback against CMCC starter Teddy McFarland, who went the distance without issuing a walk.

GAME TWO – ELIMINATION GAME vs. YCCC:
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Facing elimination, the Seawolves bounced back with an 8-5 win over York County Community College (YCCC) to advance to the YSCC Championship Game.
Zach Oliver (Gloucester, Massachusetts) continued his hot streak at the plate, going 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs. Quinn Dillon (Gorham, Maine) reached base four times and drove in two runs as the Seawolves scored in four of the first five innings to build a lead they would not relinquish.
Leudys Castillo (Lawrence, Massachusetts) started the game, while Dante Tocci (Portland, Maine) took over in the third and delivered 4.1 strong innings to earn the win in relief.
