OAKLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team took second place at Waterville Country Club on Tuesday, Sept. 5 in an event featuring three NCAA Div. 3 programs in Thomas College, University of Maine at Farmington (UMF), and University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI).

The program splits the weekend—the men travel to Beaver Meadow Golf Club (Concord, N.H.) on Saturday, Sept. 9 and the women participate in a two-day event at Brunswick Golf Club (Brunswick, Maine), hosted by Bowdoin College, Sept. 9-10.
