Seawolves Golf earns best ever finish at USCAA National Tournament

STATE COLLEGE, Penn.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team finished an all-time best fourth place at the two-day United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Tournament event on Oct. 9-10.

Team Scores:

  1. Lyon College- 597
  2. Penn State Hazleton- 606
  3. Johnson & Wales Charlotte- 624
  4. SMCC- 626

SMCC Individual Scores:

Zach Tremblay: 80/77 (157)
Alex Leupold: 82/72 (154)
Quinn Dillon: 77/78 (155)
Lucas Innman: 77/84 (161)
Asa Buteau: 90/83 (173)

Leupold was the medalist on the second day of the tournament with a low score of 72—the only other SMCC golfer to achieve this feat was Hall of Famer Tommy Stirling in 2011.
