In a fast-paced and very physical game, SMCC proved to be the better team beating NHTI 2-0. Both teams had their share of looks at the goal, but nothing got past freshman goal keeper Corey Grigas (Hardwick, MA). Junior Blais Whitney (Cornish, ME) scored in the twenty-third minute off an assist from sophomore Peter Dore (Westbrook, ME). Sophomore Kyle Ehlers (Ludlow, VT) extended the lead in the fifty-fourth minute with Jon Coyne (Cumberland, ME) getting credit for the assist.
The
Seawolves are now 4-0 in the Yankee Small College Conference and
4-2 overall. The men travel to Eastern Maine Community
College on September 22.
