Athletics Engagement and Academic Report: Fall 2024
December 31, 2024SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Interim Director of Athletics Ethan Wells published the findings of the semi-annual Fall 2024 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College. -
SMCC Athletics announces 2024 Hall of Fame class
December 09, 2024SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—Southern Maine Community College Athletics and its Hall of Fame Selection Committee named five to join an elite group of 50 individuals and two teams for their accomplishments both on the playing surface and in the College community. After careful consideration, the committee will enshrine Atencio Martin, Ryan Cloutier, Abigail Ramirez, Miranda Martin, and Matt Davis as its class of 2024. -
