
South Portland – The Golden Eagles of EMCC jumped out to an early lead in tonight's YSCC soccer action with forward Luis Silvestre (Lisbon, Portugal) scoring the first goal at the 2:19 mark. But the Seawolves' Kyle Stiefken (Vassalboro, ME) quickly answered with a goal at the 9:10 to tie the contest at 1-1.
EMCC's Kody Stockley put the Golden Eagles back on top with an unassisted goal at the 14:40 mark, but again the Seawolves responded, this time with a Nicholas Oram (Topsham, ME) goal knotting the score at 2-2. The Seawolves pulled ahead when EMCC scored on themselves and then SMCC's Talal Alzefiri (Atlanta, GA) capped the game at 4-2 with his goal, assisted by Robert Gately (Maynard, MA).
With this win the Seawolves improve to 2-2-0 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play while the EMCC Golden Eagles drop to 0-1-1.
SMCC will return to action Friday, September 13th at home against the University of Maine - Augusta.
