Seawolves Drop Golden Eagles in Double Header

Bangor - This afternoon SMCC traveled to Bangor to battle conference rival Eastern Maine CC in double header action. Lady Seawolves Lindsey Howell (Limington, ME) and Kathryn Gilio (Hampden, ME) combined for four of seven with two doubles, four runs and five RBI's to help lift the team to a 9-4 win. Pitcher Charlotte Lewis (Chatham, NH) had six strikeouts while two for four with two stolen bases and two runs of her own.

In the fourth inning of game two of today's double header the Lady Seawolves were led by second basemen Lindsey St. Claire (Vassalboro, ME) who bombed a triple to left field knocking in catcher Amber Jones (Deer Isle, ME) and tying the game at 2-2. SMCC went on to score three more runs in the fourth to give themselves a 5-2 lead and kept the Golden Eagles scoreless for the remainder of the contest.

With these two wins the Seawolves improve to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play. They will return to action Saturday 22nd at home versus the University of Maine-Presque Isle at 1pm.
