    SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Associate Dean of Athletics and Alumni Affairs Matt Richards published the findings of the semi-annual Fall 2023 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College.

    SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—Southern Maine Community College Athletics and its Hall of Fame Selection Committee named three to join an elite group of 47 individuals and two teams for their accomplishments on the playing surface and in the college community. After careful consideration the committee will enshrine John Morgan, Anna Allard, and Amos Herrin as its class of 2023.
