Lady Wolves Suffer Sweep To NCAA-UMPI

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) softball team dropped both to NCAA Division III and USCAA affiliate University of Maine at Presque Isle in a doubleheader on Friday, Apr. 13.

SMCC lost 4-1 in the first game and 7-5 in part-two. First-year Meranda Martin (Richmond, Maine) combined for 3-5 from the plate, with a home run and three runs scored. First-year Sara Ring (Wells, Maine) contributed two hits in the second game and drove in her thirteenth and fourteenth runs of the season.
