WARWICK, R.I. – The Seawolves (1-5) went on the road and dropped both games of a doubleheader against the Knights of the Community College of Rhode Island (2-0), falling 10-0 in game one and 10-2 in game two.

First-year Emma Cousins (Wells, Maine) led the way for SMCC in game one with two hits in two plate appearances. First-years Ronnie Andersen (Tooele, Utah), Bella Marier (Saco, Maine) and Chloe Truman (South Paris, Maine) each had one hit for the Seawolves. First-year pitcher Erica Hill (Lisbon, Maine) collected three strikeouts while pitching a complete game in the five-inning loss.

Marier's two-run single in the fourth inning of game two put SMCC on the scoreboard. Andersen and first-year Taylor Mack (Moses Lake, Wash.) added one hit a piece and first-year Morgan Brown (Lewiston, Maine) walked twice as the Seawolves fell in six innings— Hill pitching another complete game in the circle.

Coach's thoughts:

"I thought we did well to make adjustments to put runs on the board in the second game. I'd like to see a more patient approach at the plate, and a fundamental consistency in the field." – Head Coach Chris Caswell.

Seawolves Stars of the Day:

Hill: 9.1 innings pitched, four strikeouts
Marier: Two hits, two RBI
Emma Cousins: Two hits
