GAME ONE:
CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) softball opened Friday's conference doubleheader routing NHTI 24-0 in five innings on the road.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Seawolves exploded offensively, scoring in all five innings and putting up an 11-run fourth to blow the game wide open. SMCC tallied 20 hits as a team and took advantage of 11 NHTI errors.
Delanie Perry (DeLand, Florida) led the charge, going 4-for-5 with four doubles, four RBIs, and four runs scored. Emily Hutchins (Kennebunk, Maine) made history in the top of the fourth, launching her 9th career home run to become SMCC's all-time leader. She finished the game with two home runs, five RBIs, and three runs scored.
Sarah Wilkins (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) was a force in the circle, tossing four no-walk innings, striking out 10, and allowing just one hit. She also went 4-for-4 at the plate hitting the cycle with a home run, triple, double, single, three RBIs, and two runs scored.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game Two started as a quiet pitcher's duel, with SMCC held scoreless through the first three innings. But the Seawolves broke it wide open with an 18-run fourth inning, cruising to a 19-0 win to complete the sweep.
Emily Hutchins added another exclamation point, hitting her third homer of the day to push her record total to 10. Taylor Swift (Keene, New Hampshire) added a home run and two doubles, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Lola Donahue (Sells, Arizona) tallied three hits, including a triple and two RBIs.
Cassidy Dunham (Keene, New Hampshire) and Sloan Scotvold (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) combined to allow just three hits and no walks over five shutout innings.
