Garrett Lewellen begins his fourth season as Head Women's Volleyball Coach. Lewellen has accrued a 22-25 overall mark thus far, and 12-15 in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) action. He was awarded YSCC Coach of the Year in his first season (2021), and has produced four All-Conference selections, three United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-American selections, and five USCAA Academic All-Americans.

Lewellen led the Seawolves to their first ever appearance in the YSCC championship match in 2023.

Lewellen attended Antelope Valley Community College (Lancaster, CA) and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ambassador University (Big Sandy, TX). During enrollment at Ambassador, Lewellen was a member of both the men’s volleyball and men’s basketball programs.

Lewellen began his head coaching tenure at SMCC with experience at the camp and club level, most recently serving the Maine Juniors U14 Bronze team and U16 Copper team. He holds his USA Volleyball IMPACT certification and remains well connected with the local and regional volleyball offerings.

In addition to his duties on the volleyball court, Lewellen owns and operates Cornerstone Chiropractic and Rehabilitation in Portland, Maine where he treats patients, to include intercollegiate and professional athletes, with musculoskeletal disorders. He resides in Gorham, Maine with his wife Amy and two children Meryk and Noah.
