    CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine— Join us on Monday, August 10, 2020 on the links at Purpoodock Golf Club in Cape Elizabeth, Maine for a fun-filled day of golf. It is the mission of SMCC Athletics to continuously better the student-athlete experience, thus all of the proceeds of this 16th Annual SMCC Athletics Golf Tournament, hosted by the Southern Maine Community College Foundation and the SeaWolves Athletic Club, will help fund the athletic program offerings at SMCC.

The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility.

  • Women’s Soccer Wins First Ever National Tourney Game

    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s soccer team played to a 1-1 record in Pool A of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Tournament last weekend suffering defeat to #1 UC-Clermont and eventual tournament champions 6-2, before logging the program’s first ever win at the national tournament with a 4-0 result over #5 Penn State University-Brandywine.
  • Four Enshrined To SeaWolves HOF, Class of 2019

    CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine—Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Athletics enshrined four as class of 2019 to the SeaWolves Hall of Fame on Saturday, Nov. 2. Alisa Sweet, Michela Desjardins, Phil Desjardins, and Eric Bruneau joined an elite group of 32 individuals and one team for their accomplishments on the playing field and for their service to the SMCC Athletics community.

Meranda Martin (Richmond, Maine), Jacobee Burpee (Manchester, N.H.), Yaya Dunn (Kittery, Maine), Abigail Ramirez (Portland, Maine), and Lauryn Fagan (Standish, Maine) will all continue their playing careers and pursue bachelor degrees at the next level beginning this fall.

    SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— Head Coach Ethan Wells and the women’s soccer program will look to use a 12-game regular season schedule to make another run at a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) title and return to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) national tournament in 2019.

    SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Athletics Department held its annual awards banquet Tuesday, May 5. In lieu of an in-person presentation, the Athletics staff created a virtual ceremony to announce the department award winners and give recognition to the many outstanding achievements made by its student-athletes in 2019-20.
