Athletics Engagement and Academic Report: Fall 2024
December 31, 2024SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Interim Director of Athletics Ethan Wells published the findings of the semi-annual Fall 2024 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College. -
Women’s Volleyball finishes season with first national tournament appearance
November 07, 2024UNIONTOWN, Penn. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s volleyball team earned an at-large bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Div. 2 National Tournament for the first time in program history. The tournament was held at Penn State University- Fayette with pool play spanning Nov. 7-8.
